Mountain Drive

June 9, 2003

Dear Family and Friends.

This is just another small picture show. We left Reutte and decided to take some time and avoid autobahns for awhile. It turned out to be a great investment of a few hours.

It was an almost-perfect driving road. We had to share it with motorcycles and very little else.

These are ski villages in winter but in summer, they seem like movie sets or artificially-arranged backdrops for postcards.

Some villages had worderfully painted buildings. Places like this brightened even the cloudy part of the day.

The wild flowers brightened the place too. It was hard not to try and take pictures of everything.

Yet another small wildflower.

The rocky peaks gave a contrasting background for the patches of flowers.

But, most of all, it was an unforgetable place to drive.

That's it. A good ending to a wonderful weekend.
