Another Holiday Walk

Dear Friends and Families,
Thursday, May 20th was yet another German religious holiday. That was the good news. The bad news was that Marianne's American employer completely ignores religious holidays so once again, I found myself with little to do except vacuum, wash clothes, clean toilets, etc. -- nothing I WANTED to do for sure!
So I took my trusty new camera and headed out to the local botanical garden, called the Palmengerten or Palm Gardens. The gardens were named after their original specialty of displaying various tropical or sub-tropical flowers, plants, and trees. It was not a wonderfully sunny day but that seemed to lend a tranquil quality to the flower pictures.
