These diaries always serve two purposes: tell others what we're up to and provide us our own memories. This little picture album of Gabby during her visit does both.
Airport pick up. She looks great, especially after a 16-hour trip. 
While visiting, mother and daughter enjoyed our neighborhood. 
There was drinking, snacking (despite previous experience, we tried these pastry "snowballs" and were reminded that they really aren't good.) The dinner in Hell was OK.
We tried one over-night excursion, up into the "Frankish Alps", a nearby resort area. The mountains are small but the hotel was friendly and the food excellent. A summer visit would be better, but we do what we can.
