Christmas With Young Ryan
December 9 , 2007

Dear Friends and Families,
Our December started with a week working in Lynchburg, Virginia. There was nothing remarkable, except one morning of icy streets that reminded us that Lynchburg is South, as in our-weather-is-so-good-we-don't-need-to-sand-or-salt-roads South. That's their story ...
At the end of work however, we got to join Geoff, Suzanne ,and eight-month-old Ryan, for an early Christmas. The little guy had grown a bunch since the last time we'd seen him, even though, for me, it was just a few weeks. I'm not sure he had really figured out the Christmas thing yet, but he was clearly working on it.
Christmas requires kids and we very much enjoyed this first 2007 Christmas with our 30-something kids and young Ryan. (We had a second Christmas-with-kids later in Decemmber.) Maybe next year, we'll get a visit for a European Christmas?? (hint, hint, hint)
