Friends and Families ,

This is mostly just a note to Marianne. She's in California with family and, at times like this, I have to stretch for things to do around home. I never thought I'd miss it, but at this time of year, yard work is scarce. Pommersfelden itself has very little excitement, even in active times. And since I spend so much time away from home anyway, I'm not fond of going to even the restaurants we do have.

Photography can sometimes serve as a distraction, but the winter Saturday was gray and the light was about as bad as it gets. I know, a wonderful photographer can make drama out of the gray, but I can't.

So, I tried some night pictures in Bamberg, our nearest city with lights. We probably have a thousand pictures of Bamberg, but it remains our easiest attraction, and one of the prettiest cities in Germany.

So, here's my evening production. Nothing spectacular, but a record of a few fun hours so Marianne knows I'm staying busy.
