Dear Diary,

A quick house update. After all, we'd left the place unattended for a month.

	Mr. Kral had come in and finished off the entry stoop for the barn. He also completed the tile work I had started in the storage room (aka "cow stall".)
The back yard and field seemed little-changed. Trees were still bare, but there was mole and mouse activity in the back lawn! I'm not sure we'll ever win this fight, but it would be nice to not lose it so badly.

I'll make some more home diaries, mostly for Marianne to see how the place is doing in her absence. This really is a nice time in Franconia as the spring colors start coming to life. But, that's a later story.
