A neighboring cemetery had
been used for hundreds of years but some of the buildings from the
early 19th Century were typical of wealthy families.
At the "Heilliges
Grab", or Holy Grave, this small church has "Gethsemene"
above and "Adam's Chapel" below. The two rooms are connected
with a "crack", that symbolizes the opening of the earth
on Christ's death.
In the corner of the park , an angel points the
way to the empty body shelf.
Throughout
the old buildings, there were examples of "graffiti"
over the centuries, many dating from the 1500's.
