One side mission of our trip was to pick
up a few examples of grafitti for Marianne's latest art project. Normally,
in Germany, such street "art" is fairly easy to find, but in
Görlitz it was both rare and uniquely interesting.
In the Holy Grave, there were writings from
the 1500's through more recent history - all the way up to bullet
marks, presumably from WWII.
Of course, there were standard street drawings as well.
Somehow,
even this old crumbling sign from the times of the DDR seemed to be
a type of grafitti.
